Hi! how come u fans that hate the yankees say the 26 world series wins doesn't mean anything? and then u say that our 26 is less than your whatever your team has? I don't get that! Well i guess you must be soooo jealous to think of the yankees like that. its either that you think 26 is less than whatever your favorite team has cuz u didnt go to school. or your saying that cuz u r jealous! 26 WORLD SERIES IS ALOT!!!!

You know if the Red Sox had won 26 World Series titles or the Tigers, Indians, their fans would be saying we got 26 titles & so on. People hate the Yankees because they are a DYNASTY. I realize most fans were not around for most of those titles but I saw them win World Series titles in 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999 & 2000. Now that is 6, count them 6 titles. How many have the Red Sox, Tigers, Indians & Angels won(Alfie). Red Sox 1, Tigers 1, Angels 1 & Indians(can't remember if they beat Braves or lost. White Sox also won just 1. So to say Yankees suck or whatever, have your team win a few more World Series titles & then you can talk some smack to Yankee fans but until then, YANKEES RULE!!!!!!

Saying that 26 World Series championships doesn't mean anything does not automatically mean that someone does not understand basic math. But all that that 26 means is that they have a great history. That does not mean that the Yankees are always the best team in baseball. How many World Series have they won in the last 6 seasons? The answer to that, my grammatically and logically challenged friend is ZERO.

It's the nature of sports fans. I grew up in Chicago and my White Sox were ALWAYS (except for 1959) finishing right behind the Yankees, so naturally, I HATE THEM !!!!
It is more envy than jealousy, though. I would be MUCH happier if Chicago had 26 World Series wins, fershure!
Anyway, now I'm in Southern California and the 5 California teams probably don't have 26 wins among them but we love 'em anyway. IF the Yankees make the playoffs this year, the Angels will probably sweep them. They DO have problems at the BIG-A!

Name at least 13 of them, with the years they won them, without looking it up. I can name over 20, and I'm not even a Yankee fan

You're the reason people don't like Yankee fans. Thank you for making everyone else's points for them when they say all Yankee fans have is "26 rings".
I'd be willing to bet you couldn't name a Yankee that played before 1996 not named Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle, Berra, that aren't still active.
