Short of being a puppet, his own boss Admiral called him a sell-out on this issue. A good soldier does what his boss tells him to do and Bush is his boss! Sadly.......

the difficulty is, human beings are complicated the White homestead checklist to Congress, with general Petraeus's checklist to the White homestead. Congress did not order general Petraeus to place up a checklist to them. Congress ordered the White homestead to place up a checklist in September. As to general Petraeus's testimony to Congress right this moment. i think he will tell Congress what he thinks, not what the White homestead thinks. that's, the surge is working militarily, however the political difficulty has not replaced as much as he was hoping it would. yet then, i ask your self, what this modern Congress might have theory related to the founders of the U. S., taking 13 years in simple terms to draft the U. S. shape. might they have complained that they took a ( gasp !! ) trip each year , for the duration of that 13 years? after which you have human beings like Senator ( play general ) Joe Biden, who says general Petraeus is flat out incorrect, before he incredibly hears what general Petraeus has to declare.

General Petraeus's superior, Admiral William Fallon, chief of the Central Command (CENTCOM) told Petraeus that he considered him to be "an *ss-k*ssing little chickensh*t" and added, "I hate people like that", the sources say. That remark reportedly came after Petraeus began the meeting by making remarks that Fallon interpreted as trying to ingratiate himself with a superior.

I believe the general is a good man and an excellent general, but he does take his orders from Bush. Bush told him to put a positive spin on the Iraq conflict, and that's what he did. As long as the Iraqis can't come to a political compromise, there will continue to be violence and chaos. I believe that Iraq will become a loose confederation with three largely independent states.

Listen to what Gen. Petraeus own boss says about him.
The good general's boss, CENTCOM chief Admiral William Fallon doesn't have much good to say about Patraeus, "Fallon told Petraeus that he considered him to be "an a**-kissing little chickensh*t" and added, "I hate people like that", the sources say." The story quoted a senior official as saying that referring to "bad relations" between them is "the understatement of the century".

Generals Lie, Soldiers Die.
To Lie(Law) = To Die: Colossians 2:20-22.
Touch, Taste, Handle GWB's rod of iron rule of law?
It makes those who do feel "wretched" & "forsaken".
Ask the 800,000 usa PTSD soldiers how they feel.
GWB's Presidential Address?
This war is "good and evil", ends "evil".
Perhaps he was supposed to say good vs evil.
But such notably also gives place to the d-evil(law).
Remember Colin Powell, how he lied at UN?
Remember the GWB Lies, witch led to this $ war?
Remember this: saved + destroyed after: Jude 5?
POINT: Saved(Graced) + Destroyed(Lawed) = Dead.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I don't believe so, we sent him there for an honest look at the situation and since the Democrats don't like what he said they are now turning against him.

I think you are way off base. General Petraeus has many accomplishments. He is the leader in his field. He has a Phd. He has been in the military longer than George Bush has been President. If you cannot believe him, who can you believe?
