It is fine to pierce it. Women are discouraged from getting body piercings such as navel piercings, nipple piercings, and gental piercings.

I was told that when you get your nose pierced you are asking your body to concentrate on another part of the body (other than your baby). I found this out when I was trying to get pregnant and went to get a nose stud. I am not trying for a baby now, so I just got my nose pierced last week. I love it! If I was pregnant, I would have waited just to be cautious. I don't think it is that serious, but is it worth the worry to you? If you said no, then you can wait and be just as happy later with the experience AND you know you really want it. You can also enjoy it more because you won't be worried about how it will affect your baby.
BTW - To all those questioning her maturity, she did not asked to be judged. She asked for advice. Piercings or any other type of physical decor may have nothing to do with maturity or personality. Narrow-minded (and usually miserable) people judge others. The world has enough of those kind. What have you done in your life to give you the right to make her feel bad? Try something different and be more unique and more adventurous. Fortunately, not everyone fits in a box.

No respectable piercing parlor will pierce you while you are pregnant because of the risk of infection. When pregnant, you are more prone to infections because your immune system is down. If your nose were to get infected, then it could cause harm to the unborn fetus. I personally would never get any type of piercing while pregnant. It's not worth the risk.

i don't think you should get your nose pierced. well today i went to get snakebites and they gave me a paper to fill out and it asked are you pregnant and i am. so the lady said that i couldnt get it done because of it. she said its not safe because when you get an infection it might harm the baby. im guessing its the same with any other type of piercing. but ya she told me to wait 9 months. congratz on the baby by the way. and i really think you should wait until the baby is born just in case. :)

If you get your nose pierced now or later, do you know that your child will make a grab for that thing every chance it gets. Enough tugs on the thing and you're sure to get an infection--not once, but all the time. And would if your child grabs it and sticks it straight into its mouth. That's what babies do. Everything they pick up goes straight into their mouths.

You could but you do run the risk of getting an infection. Another thing to think about is when you go into the hospital to deliver, they make you take out all jewlery in case there is a need to do an emergency c-section. Do you want to pierce it now just to have to take it out then?

I wouldnt, Best to stay away from tattoo's, piercings and any other body altering until after the baby is born. Its not like you can't get it later? I mean why risk getting an infection.. Your duty is to take care of that baby and sometimes that means sacrifice, after all your becoming a mother. Good luck

NO!!! Not recommend. Anytime you puncture your body you put yourself at increased risk of infection, and this is not good for baby. If you still want to pierce your nose after the baby is born, I say go for it! But, hold off until after the birth.

Yes, it's okay to get your nose pierced during pregnancy. You just have to be highly cautious about doing it because you don't want to get any type of infections or anything that could potentionally harm the baby.

I would wait. The possibility for infection is slim to none. But in case it does, the infection could harm the baby. And also you taking antibiotics, could harm the baby, if its even possible to treat at all.... Ask your OB for his/her opinion first.

I would suggest waiting, you don't know what kind of disease or infection you could get from the piercing!
