This question is on my sons science test...and I don't have a clue....

You can tell your son that Newton's 2nd law is

Force = Mass times acceleration

F = kg (i.e mass) times acceleration (ms^-2)

the ^ means to the power of minus two

Newton, once stated that:

'If I can see further than you, it is because I am standing on the shoulders of giants'

He was making a point about scientific progress, but he was also making a comment about the height of another Scientist

The Newton.

A newton is a measure of force that combines mass and acceleration (often due to gravity).

One Newton (denoted 1N) is equal to 1 (kg*m)/s^2
