yes, your period will start soon, you have all the symptoms. Of course you should tell your mom, she can help you, she's been there done that. Keep a sanitary napkin and a clean pair of panties in your pack or purse at all times so you can be ready when it starts.

Yes, Sweetie it is your cycle and it is on its way. Your breasts will also swell and be a little sore due to your period. It happens to all of us. Pick up some Pamprin and it will take care of the symptoms. If you do not have any or cannot get any Tylenol or Advil will take care of your cramps but not the bloating or tender breasts. You will be losing iron now so keep warm and maybe take a daily vitamin with iron.
Talk to your mom, it is that time because you will need some pads and some guidance with tampons and whether or not they are a good fit for you. As well, keep your vagina clean. Do not put anything in it to clean it just use a mild soap and some water everyday sometimes a couple times a day especially when your period arrives.
As for getting it at school, well stay prepared and wear a pad. Talk to your mom she can get some that are right for you. Always with wings are good and they are thin so noone will see them through your pants although you will think they can. And be prepared by taking an extra pair of panties and pants to school just in case and you can always get a pad from the nurse, but they are usually big and bulky so it is best to talk to your mom so you have something that is comfortable for you. Your mom is young and probably cannot wait for you to come to her so she can give you all the ins and outs of your menstral cycle. And she can get you something to help get you through the cramps and bloating.
Like a lady said above it may not be your period, so talk to your mom so she knows you are in pain and maybe she will take you to a doctor if she suspects this is not your cycle.

If you think you might be getting you period any day now then wear a light pad so that if it does happen school it won't get on your pants (also carry a few extras in your bag and wear dark pants just in case). If you feel crampy take some advil or aleve or something... if it continues whether or not you get your period talk to your mother or your doctor.

Yes you should tell your mother at some point (how else will she know to buy you sanatary pads/tampons...)

As for your friends that is up to you. If you don't feel comfortable you don't have to tell anyone.

I got mine the summer I turned 15, I was home so it didn't matter that I didn't notice right away... I realized it when I went to use the bathroom so it wasn't a big issue... I didn't get cramps or anything, it only lasted for about 3 days.

Okay, so here is some juicy information. I got mine at age 13 (I am now 14) so don't worry. The first thing you should do is tell your mom because, she is there for, even tho she might get all gushy and emotional but that will soon pass. If you get it at school all you have to do is go to the nurse and tell her. Don't be embarresed it happens to everyone, or maybe you should just start carring around a pad in a purse just in case because it sounds like you are going to get it soon. If caught off guard put some toliet paper in your underwear and then as soon as possible get a pad from someone.

I had my first period when I was 13. I didn't have bad cramps for a few years after that, though... probably when I was about 16 or 17. Now (I'm 20) they can get so bad that it's like you described, I can hardly move around. If Ibuprofen or Tylenol doesn't make them go away, then ask a doctor. I know it's embarassing to talk to your mom about your period, but I had to do it. Turns out she and my dad had bought this HUGE gigantic box of pads to prepare for it - lol! talk about embarassing. But it's ok, every woman goes through it and it will only help to talk to your mom!

It could be PMS you're feeling.
You should ask your mom. Young or not, she is old enough to know about periods and she will be able to help you through your first one.
I would start carrying a maxi pad around with you in your back pack or something, just in case you do get it in school. Also, a change of underwear to carry around with you is a good idea too.
I got my first period at school. My mom had not talked to me about it and I was like "What the hell?!" Luckily it was at the end of the day so I could just go right home.
Seriously, try talking to your mom or maybe one of your friends that you know has gotten hers before. It makes it less scary and you will get an idea of what to expect. Good luck!

This could very well mean that your period is coming. It could happen this month or in the next couple of months. Women experience symptoms of PMS even if they skip a period. These symptoms are happening because your body is preparing to go through menstration (egg formation, and shedding of old lining). It sounds scary, but it is a normal process for every woman in the world.
Do not be embarrassed to tell your Mom because she has been going through this herself. I was scared to tell my Mom because I was embarrassed ( I got mine at age 12). Remember that she is your best friend in this situation because she can teach you all about the protection you need and how to use it.
If you are nervous about getting it at school, ask your Mom about panty-liners and pads/tampons. Keep checking and maybe bring an extra pair of underwear and shorts/pants.
Good luck and don't be nervous, we ALL go through it. That is what being a woman is all about!!! :)

Just talk to your mother, you probably are about to get your period. Its ok, I'm going to be really honest I don't really remember the first time I had my period, it will be fine. Just talk to your mom and bring some feminine hygiene products with you so that you are prepared. You could also talk to the school nurse, they should have the feminine hygiene products there too. Just tell your mom that you've been having cramps and such and she'll probably know whats going on too. Don't be scared that's what she's there for!! Good luck!

It sounds like period symptoms.... I would say take 1 Motrin and it should relax you if not take 2. If you are afraid of getting them while you are in school then keep a clean pair of under wears with you and a pad so if they do come you are prepared and not be embarrassed. About telling your mom... She is young and i bet hip so just tell her "mom i got my periods" She will go into mom action mode and she will know what to do.

Good Luck

your mom will probably be so happy. besides, your very first period? you'll barely have any blood! feel lucky! and yeah, tell your close friends, blah blah, don't worry, if they haven't gotten theirs yet, they will soon.
I got mine but didn't know it till I got home when I found some blood on my underwear. I told my mom, she came up with a pad, showed me how to put it, smiled, and that was it. it was gone 4 days later. and it just started coming back every 28 years. your mom is young - it'll be easier for her to relate to pretty much everything you go through in life BECAUSE of that fact. so use her for all the advise she has.
