In 1996 I had a recurrence of cancer which became advanced and metastisized to different areas of my body. I had a 7 1/2 hr operation and they couldn't get it all. I asked God to help me and had the elders of the church annoint me with oil and pray over me which really increased my faith. I was told by doctors that I had between a 40 and 50 % chance of surviving. I went through 2 augmous stem cell rescue transplants and 2 rounds of high dose chemotherapy at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, I was monitored around the clock in an isolated room in North 5 transplant ward for a total of 35 days. My immune system and my blood counts were knocked down to nothing before they were brought back up again. On Dec 21st my doctor told me that I was cancer free and it changed my life forever. I am so thankful to God for returning me back to good health again and I'll never look at life or people the same way again.
