HELP, Question a/b writing song lyrics!!!?

Hey, I really luv to write songs w/ lyrics. I think they're pretty good and my friends think I should try and get them published. Where do I go or who do I talk to about that? please help? If I'm famous I'll remember you!! haha, jkjk, I'm not that good.

first you need to get some exposure I am a singer song writer my self you probably heard of me when I first started out it was hard what you need to do is create a name and a image that will sell and be patient it's a long hard road and the first thing you need to do is go to the open mikes and preform before a live audience and be willing to do what it takes to make it to the top
