I also had the hump because Corrie wasn't on much to my Husbands delight who can't stand the soaps and is a massive Rugby fan. We are lucky enough to have Cable Television so I shoved off upstairs to find something else to watch. He'll do the same Sunday night when we get a double dose of Corrie. I think it would of been on tonight at 10pm if Hells Kitchen wasn't being shown at the moment.

I do think though that there should be an extra terrestrial (free) channel for Sporting Events (such as England playing Footie, Rugby or Cricket) that people unable to afford Cable or Sky should have access to.

TV Licence Fee - well I begrudge paying that as much as I do Council Tax. I have a 'Bee In My Bonnet' that as I watch The BBC Channels through my Cable Box which I pay for why should I have to fork out for the Licence Fee as well ?? Does that make sense or am I just being silly ?

Personally I'd rather we put all soaps and sport onto pay-per-view or at least subscribed channels so that we could have a few more decent programmes on the ones that are covered by the licence fee!! I'd also put all reality TV on there too! Just have decent dramas, documentaries and, yes, even the classical music programmes like Last Night At The Proms! It is a national institution and something which has been going for years and is extremely popular!

Gartom expresses my thoughts entirely! I think there should be a dedicated channel for sport too and if people want to watch it then let them pay for it! I think there is far too much sport on tv - have just looked in tv times for today and on practically all the main channels there is sport on all afternoon! I strongly object to having my fave programmes such as Corrie taken off because of blooming sport!

I think there should be a dedicated channel for sport and you should pay a license fee to watch that if you want to!!

BBC are money grabbing conmen!

Mind you I'm not missing corrie tonight, I'm a huge rugby fan! lol

Lol,it's true I turned over to ITV thinking I'll see what going on in Coronation Street only to see rugby, which isn't my sort of thing lol so then I thought OK when's Hells Kitchen on only to kind that pushed back aswell.

I was disapointed that Coronation street wasnt on, they could have put it on another time, like they did the other day. I dont think sport should be on prime time, we dont all like it shoved down our throat, I thought there was channels for sport anyway, why have they got to invade ITV.

I totally agree with you Blue, The T.V is s**t, all that is on is sport or soaps, why can't we pick what we want to watch, instead of having rubbish thrown at us,

;-)
