when i first looked at my sign and the things they had to say about me, some where true and some were not so true. later i discovered that many other people thought they were like that, obviusly they werent but because some web site told them they were, they believed they were. after a while i saw that every astrologer had a different theory of there own, which makes no sense because if the planets are so pridictable, why do the astrologers theories dont match each other. now i have realized that they tell people what they want to hear, every one likes to be told they are good and all it takes is to believe your self that you can do something to achive it. they say negative things about each sign because they know that no one believes that they are all perfect, the truth is no one wants to be perfect even if they say they do, the beauty of the universe is in the fact that it isnt perfect. for all the people out there, what do you have to say about this?

To believe that the Earth, meaning human beings, are the center of the universe is conceded and selfish. This is saying the stars and planets were created billions of years ago to give us a personality. Also guide us for the short time we have on this world. That we should accept this as a fact, though there is no evidence to back such a claim.
The delusional believers are also very happy to have this. They do not mind not having control of their own lives, they seek it out. Reality is not wanted, so more irrational thinking increases. The believer not only wants the delusion to be true, but in most cases desperately needs it to be true.
Magical thinking is for children, these adults need to grow up.

Okay. So there are layers to the influence of astrology. First there is the aspect of your Sun sign. That'd be the day you were born and the horoscope you read in the paper is a generalized view of that. Then you have other factors such as where the moon was and what time of day, where all your planets fall..etc. The idea is that the sun sign is a basic format, a blueprint, that is affected by all the other forces that were around the day you were born. So when the basic plan for what you are supposed to be like based off of your sign doesn't apply, it could be the other forces that tweaked the original plan.
Now there is the idea that astrology is affected by your beliefs. Meaning that psychologically you believe you are the way you are based on what your sign says you should be like. By knowing you are supposed to be a certain way, you begin to act that way. This is true to some degree but the major points still shine through. And you if you act the way your sign says you should, even if its just via the influence of what you think, aren't you still acting like your sign?
I think astrology comes down to a little bit of both of these happenings. I think Astrology is something to be taken in stride. Don't be devoted to it, but rather just take it as semi-accurate prejudice, or like have a general idea of what to expect but nothing concrete, because no matte where your planets are you are an individual with your life.
Astrology + Psychology + Life = the answer.

I used to not believe in astrology...especially the zodiacs since it didn't match my personality with my sign....all the while i thought i was an aries but then as i study astrology...i've learned that there is this thing that is about "born in the cusp" and it so happen that my birthday falls on the borderline of other zodiacs...then i find the description of my true personality...and its true!! 100%...BESIDES...it's not all about your sun signs...you still have your moon and rising sign which really affects you in a lot of way....oh...especially the rising sign coz sometimes this is more dominant than your sun sign...you know...you still need to learn a lot about astrology before you could actually deny and contradict this things...

Life is too unpredictable.
Your day, week, month, or year cannot be predicted by just the alignment of celestial bodies.
Your personality is crafted through your own social interactions and experiences, not by what month you were born in and what planet/star sign you were born under.
It's complete nonsense.
You can use it for fun, but I wouldn't bet my life/love on some thing that is so obscure and never reliable.

i don't know the zodiac. but i study Chinese astrology. it is total different from zodiac.the Chinese astrology has a little bit different from the sign. it has two kinds of astrology. one is only know the people birthday and time to predict. the other is also need the day and time,but we have to have a chart to calculate.it is true or not, it depend on the data is correct or not, the other is the master's ability, some of them are very accurate, many of them sometime accurate.

I think it has some truth to it as far as the personality thing goes, cuz my personality is accurate. But those daily horoscopes are usually way off, ( i need to stop reading them!!) but i think its interesting cuz like i said the personality of the sign matches me. But it shouldn't dominate your life, it's really easy to get obessed with this astrology stuff.

It's not something you want to base your life on or your life choices.
Astrology also makes your pre-judge someone according to their "star"sign.
I find it is just another interesting facet of the human being.

i think that daily horoscopes are rubbish but zodiac signs in general are not. i have met way too many people who exhibit the characteristics of their signs even when they had no clue what the zodiac was.
