Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts.
And we are never, ever the same.

SOME PEOPLE
Some people come into our lives
and leave footprints on our hearts
and we are never ever the same.
Some people come into our lives
and quickly go... Some stay for awhile
and embrace our silent dreams.
They help us become aware
of the delicate winds of hope...

My mother and daughter have put footprints on my heart. They are the most precious people in my life. Without them I would not be the woman I am today. And for each print they make in my heart I become a stronger more able and willing person to strive to be a better person than I was the day before.

a friend of mine we`ll call her DP, i got to know her a few years back and became nothing more than people who say hello or talk about the weather, late last year i helped her with her computer setting up her msn messenger, and why we were talking we got so close, nothing ever happened due to our private lives, but ever since, we talk all the time and my heart pounds whe i see her and when we need someone to ease pain we know we can count on each other, sad thing is though we are more than best friends, we can never be more due to her family situation and i would never want her to choose, i know her partner would never understand the friendship we have, thing is it`s our friendship thats kept them together as she has someone she can tell anything to , he puts her down all the time and i always seem to pick up the pieces. I love her with all my being and she has been the one to leave footprints on my heart, and I hope she doesn`t go quickly out of my life, she gives my life meaning,, just to hold her hand I feel like no other, but to be the one to spend my life with her would be my fairytale....... great question certainly opened my thoughts xx

It sounds to me that leaving footprints on one's heart is not a bad thing.
"Some people stay around a while and leave footprints on your heart."
In that case I'd say my wife and kids have left footprints on my heart AND soul.

My dad left huge footprints on my heart. He has been gone for over two years but I still miss him everyday. He helped shape me into the person I have become and influences every choice I make.

What a beautiful question....got me thinking, about the footprints left on my heart..some put there by the gentlest of touches and some by great clunking jackboots.
All have left their own mark, and as you say truly, we are never the same.

to really special girls to me 1st one was a girl who i had a major crush on for years who left country and a girl who i was best friends with in my first year at high school who left school at the end of that year not seen either since but left two really big footprints in my heart not stopped thinking about them since
