I'm tired of using other cleaners - that don't shine the floor. I miss having a shiny floor.

The problem with that type of product is that it is a temporary sealant (not like a true masonry sealant) that will get into the porous tile and grout. Once it's there, it may be difficult to ever remove. And, it will possibly discolor with age (yellow or gray). This will eventually cause the tile and grout to look all dirty even after scrubbing it clean.

If you really want that shiny look for a tile floor, you can get a tile sealer at a home improvement store. But, it's very expensive ($75 a jug) and you have to reapply it every year to restore the luster.

over time that shininess you're looking for will leave a build up that will cause your floor to look really bad. the build up will cause your floor to look duller than it does now. at that time you'll have to do some research to find a floor stripper that will not remover your at grout at the same time.

speaking of grout, using mop n' glow will cause any dirt that is left on your floor to be trapped in the grout lines no matter if it's sealed or not.

the reason many of the ceramic floors on the market today do not have shiny finish is because it's very slippery and dangerous when it's wet.

Hope this helps!

Your ceramic floors are not meant to look shiny.
Don't use mop and glow on them. You'll ruin the tile not to mention the grout and they'll get to look really bad.
Get a ceramic tile floor cleaner for best results in keeping your ceramic floors looking new.

Do not use Mop & Glow. My tile guy says only use Pine-Sol to clean ceramic tile. My floors are shiney after I use the Pine-Sol. Maybe your floors aren't supposed to look shiney. The only way to make it shiny is to buff it with a buffer....what a pain in the neck.
