Yea I had that happen when I just signed on too. I checked my email to see if it was a combination of best answers and violations but I only had a best answer. wtf!?!?

One way is to cancel an answer that you have already given.
You can loose five if you ask a question. Maybe you had changed your mind about an answer just before you got off and the points did not subtract untill you were back.

if you ever want to know why there is a "+" or a "-" go into your profile and click on activity details. it will tell you the last 6 things that happened on your account. (i'm sure you've answered too many questions by now to find out which answer was deleted)

omg that happened ot me the other day! i just signed in and it said i lost 3 points, i think its because one of the questions you answered got deleted, so they take away your points too, for some reason. im not sure why i lost 3 points,though. = ]

I just deleted one of my own answers, that takes 2 points away. If Y/A deletes a question that you answered they take your 2 points away, even though it probably wasn't your fault that the question got deleted.
And if they delete someone's account & you answered their question, you lose 2 points for each question that they posted.
Does that explain it for you?

three days ago when i signed in it said alert minus 1 point and i was trying to figure it out myself but i checked my activity log and it shows no loss in points.

it happened to me too, often...i think if there is one question you answered before and then suddenly it was deleted that would be cause of minus point to your point.

If your question is removed for any reason, you loose 2 points!

A question you answered was removed. They also remove yours points at the same time.
Happens to me all the time with avatar games.
