I live in Ireland and the reports today in daily star are that the pj reckon Maddie's bodily fluids that were in the hire car were laced with sleeping tablets, her mother diary that was seized contains words to describe Maddie as a hysterical child and that Kate could not cope with her ,also that the pj have asked for the church that the parents went to in Portugal to be searched, also that the child was in the apartment for a long period of time an that they moved her body to the church and then dumped her into the sea that is why they were made suspects .... so believe what you want but that is why they are suspects

If the French newspaper is correct, did the parents give Maddie sleeping pills and ACCIDENTLY over-dose her? Then, did they panic and dispose of her body? It is one possible explanation. Imagine how horrified they would be to find her dead and then realize how people would bring up the "neglect" part. Frightened people do odd things!

No one knows UNTIL we have all the facts. All we have are lots of self righteous people who have wild opinions based on rumours, newspaper reports based on speculation and the need for the best headline. Madeline has been forgotten within this unseemly scrum.

No, I dont think they are responsible for her disappearance, she hasnt been found yet so how do they know if she is dead, I was just reading sky news and they are going to look into the disappearance of a portuguese girl who went missing a few years ago and she has never been found, it could be linked.

First of all, they haven't even proven she's dead yet!
But yes, I think they are responsible for her disappearance. They should have been with their children that night.
Leaving 3 children under the age of 4 is totally inexcusable! I think at the very least they should face child neglect charges!

They could be or they could be not.
I'm not sure what to believe. Why would her parents do such a thing like that. But the parents do look suspicious as if they are trying to hide something.
When kate had yellow and green ribbons in her hair. Was she hoping that madeline would be found. or was she wearing them because she hoped she wouldn't be found out.

A lot of people thought Joanne Lees murdered Peter Falconio - she didn't, despite how sure everyone was.

Natalie Campush went missing for 8 years, but it wasn't her parents that killed her.

You just don't know.

The detectives and forensic scientists who investigate these types of crimes do not arbitrarily bring charges upon any suspect or suspects without being able to back it up. There must be something to what they have and given time, more will be revealed.

Not directly, but possibly indirectly for leaving her alone in the room with just her sleeping younger siblings while they went for dinner thus allowing the kidnapper to take her.
