I have for 7 years and we ended up married and living together for the past 2 years.
Whether or not you consider that as(worked) or not is up to you, because it's not long distance anymore.

I have lots of long distance friendships- most are friends from elementary school through high school. BUT I've never had a long distance RELATIONSHIP work! I tried once and thought it was going to, but in the end, it didn't

Yes. I live in NJ, and my friend Lee lives in Ohio. She was an offsite service provider for me, with a previous employer. We have never met. We got talking one day, when her computer locked up. We blab on the phone for hours, like sisters. It's been 4 1/2 years.

No. I have found distance to be great for starting a friendship,
but hand to eye is necessary to maintain it.

I have friends I've kept in touch with over the years from all over the world,via phone,emails,etc. but if you're talking an internet relationship,I've never heard of one working out.

i had e few friends in other countries but they didn't last long. not that we fought or disliked each other, we just lost contact. with their routine and mine we didn't always have time to chat.
