To me - at least 20 years older than I am right now. But that could change - when I get 20 years older, it might only be 10 years older than me then.

When you die you are old.
Age is a state of mind. Let your mind vegetate and you age quickly. Keep your mind alive by generating new interests all the time. The book on age has been re-written. I know 40- year olds that are old and a know a few sprightly 80-year olds that are young. Attitude is the name of the game. Sure, your body will age but through the eyes you will see youth.

Older than Methuselah. Like many, many years, even eons. My granny was old but not OLD.
On the other hand, for living people old generally refers to chronological age and most people are considered old by retirement age, around 65. Otherwise, politicians and employers wouldn't go along with retirement plans based on good logic. Most employees have passed their best days of productivity by then and become deadwood. It is just the way it is. My motto is "Acceptance."

When you 10yrs old then 20 is old, but at 20 you think 40 is pushing it.
Depends how old you are but as time goes on it seems the old are getting younger everyday, they look younger, act younger and live longer.
Anytime now you might get bumped on the club dancefloor and turn around to see a 76year old.lol

That all depends on the person answering the question. Someone in their teens could think 30 is old, while someone in their 50's could think 70 is old.

Old....is an opinion a person makes when they see someone that looks wrinkly, handicapped, somewhat disabled. But with some spirit, they can't really be considered to be "old." Old...is when someone's lost some heart, ya know? Like...if you don't like rollercoasters anymore because you think they're scary, or they suck, or they're boring, then you're old. Yeah...well this is just my opinion.

well it depends on how old you are now. if you are 20yrs old you think 30 is old, if you are 50 you think 80 is old. If you are 80 then you think 100 is old. We live so much longer now, its not rare to find 100yr olds anymore. Live long and prosper ;0)

Officially in the UK we are middle aged until we are 65. That is the definition used by the government.
My Mother died recently, she was 87 years old. She would look at other people in their sixties and say look at that old biddy over there!
It is all about attitude!
