Only the most hardened person could miss the honesty and sincerity in Bush's voice as he spoke. He truly believes that he and his advisors are doing what is best for Iraq and for America. Yes,there have been costly mistakes made, but it will be even more costly to Iraq and America if our troops should be pulled out now this late in the war,a war,I might add, that is finally showing signs of improving in our favor. Many precious lives have been lost for this cause, but it will all have been in vain if we turn tail and run now. This blatant divisiveness we have amongst our country folk is showing a weakness to our enemy that we can not afford to show at this time. They are and will continue to use that weakness against us. We must come together as the great country we are and support whatever needs done to end this war as quickly and efficiently as we can,but we MUST stand together as one mind to do so. That means standing behind our President as he struggles to find the right means to do this.

Nothing new under the sun.
Mission accomplished, cakewalk, stay the course, the insurgents are getting desperate, ...
In one year, they'll be back to before the surge, unless, of course, the administration decides the situation warrants extensions. No real reductions were announced, except those that were already scheduled through normal troop rotations and an end to the surge.

He had some very valid points. I can't wait to see what the next president does. Will they retreat like hillary wants to do or will they stay the course and finish it once and for all?
