I suppose because it's sealed and in a large quantity, so it doesn't dry. Glue doesn't really adhere until it's dried. And if you think about it, some of the glue does stick to the inside... like when the bottle is mostly empty and you can't get any more out, there's still plenty stuck to the sides inside.

Partially its because most glues need a chemical reaction with air to become adhesive, another part of it is that in the case of super glues at leas many act as solvents to themselves. In essence the glue in the bottle is kept from the air and thus doesn't have its full adhesive properties yet and at the same time constant contact with its liquid form keeps the glue at the top from reacting fully with the air it contacts when you open the bottle keeping it from hardening. Over time however if left open a bottle of glue will harden completely and adhere to the bottle its in. Which is why most have notes on them to close tightly after use.

All glues have some substance that they do not stick to and the manufacturers use that for the container. If they could not find a substance for the container that the glue they are designing wont stick to they would not make and sell the glue because they couldn't

I believe its part of the Glue Union...their contract states they will not stick to the inside of the bottle.

Because glue doesn't become sticky until it dries, it needs air to dry.
If you left a bottle of glue open it would stick to the inside.

It is one of it's function. If it can not stick to the bottle it can not stick a label on the bottle.

Because if it did, you could not get it out of the bottle.

I think it has something to do with contact with the air
