Philly. It's affirmative.

Ultimately, these changes have to be approved by the GM's. Ideally, they'd actually discuss this with the players and find out what the "real" concerns are. I can see Reebok wanting to make sure their logos aren't in any way obscured, or have the jersey altered, but beyond that...who cares? The problem for Reebok is that Under Armour is a NHL licensee so they can't just tell Under Armour "that's it...you're out". I could see the NHL going the route of the CHL with giving RBK exclusive rights for helmets and increased logo visibility on socks and the front of jerseys as well as the back. BTW...RBK owns The Hockey Company (CCM), so having Ovechkin all over the place in CCM gear helps their bottom line.

The Philadelphia Flyers wore Cooperalls in the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons

The Hartford Whalers wore them in 1982-83.

The NHL banned long pants in 1983 'in the name of safety' (CCM had a contract to outfit a team for the 1983-84 season prior to the ban)

Hartford Whalers and Philadelphia Flyers never wore Cooperalls. Both the Whalers and Flyers wore CCM Pro Pak long pants shells.

Philly. It wasn't "long pants" but Cooperalls. Go wiki it and see what the fuss was all about back then. We had to wear them playing minor hockey. They are actually not bad just weird to look at.

Cooperalls?

Cooperalls were one of the worst inventions in hockey history. They were supposed to reduce weight, and increase speed, and not hold water ..........................and in the end, looked ugly.

Wait........that sounds like the new reebok jersey!
