Global Responsibility ???? Hell NO !!!

We have governments that OK religious fanaticism as an accepted way of life. We have governments that think a decent life is not guaranteed or should be sought after.
We also have countries that have fought amongst themselves over the way they say their prayer's to their Deity for centuries.
We should let them cull each other to a minimum and help them to their own extinction.

Our country is so self absorbed in putting paper in its pocket and the acquisition of wealth, that we have forgotten how much we could positively affect change on our small planet.

We have the greatest minds in the world, the greatest government to help exchange, enlighten and produce things to make our planet hospitable for everyone, but we have to take care of our own. Take a look at New Orleans. We still have the bushies saying that they are going to help them, years later after the fact and nothing has happened.

We should take care of ourselves first, then affect change.

I'd like to believe we have some moral responsibility to help those in need ... but not at the risk of our own citizens

with that said, I believe we should act as a world leader, and use diplomacy with our brothers and sisters around the world ... and under no circumstances act like world police ... and be an example to other countries on how to act, how to respect other cultures, and only use war as a last resort

... we have a ways to go, and Bush has taken us a few steps back

George Washington is an significant guy in our history yet he remains purely one guy. The Founding Fathers observed the religious persecution in maximum of Europe as a actual evil. for that reason they particularly suggested that throughout the time of united states of america of america there shouldn't in any respect be a spiritual try for political workplace. on the comparable time each and all the Founding Fathers signed the assertion of Independence. It explicitly states that the rustic is predicated on the concept that there is a writer and that "All adult adult males are created equivalent." of course, the Founding Fathers as a collection meant to nicely known a splendid Being.

To stop the arms race it is fomenting by selling nuclear weapons around the world
To stop invading poor countries
To stop being the number one polluter in teh planet.
Since it has the most nuclear weapons, no one will disarm if the US does not follow up. The US needs to lead disarmament.

All the world needs for the US to do is to stop doing such horrible things to other people.

You do not get to send criminal corporations abroad and then invade countries when your corporations get in trouble

You do not get to pick out systems of government

You do not get to protect you "interests" in other countries. That is how you conquered Hawaii, invaded Nicaragua and blockaded Cuba. Never again.

You do not get to poison Andean crops in order to uphold a ridiculous prohibition. If you don;t want coca, don't buy it. Keep your Marines, we don;t want them in our land.

You have the responsibility to stop murdering us.

Peace.

We have the responsibility to be the defenders of freedom and democracy. If we don't want to live up to those responsibilities then we never should have declared ourselves to be just that, which we have time and again.

well...currently the world expects us to do everything for them....remember the tsuniami....everyone was waiting to see what type of response the US would do.....

the way i see it the US needs to take care of itself first as w/ everyother country...take care of your own citizens....Maybe if EVERYONE stayed outta others business then the world would go round a bit better.....I mean...not only the US, but European nations, Asian nations, S. American nations...everyone just needs to leave everyone else alone....thats what gets people into trouble....but i dont see any of that happening anytime soon...people are nosey and love to try and "help"

So anyway, right now every nation thinks the US has the responsibility when in reality every country just needs to worry about themselves

Team America - World Police.

F*** yeah!

At this point, I think our responsibility is just not to anger the world more than we already have. If you're looking for when we should intervene, I think Darfur, many years ago, would be a good place to start.

the us has the responsibility to take care and protect its own citizens From foreign and domestic enemies, right here on our own land not go hopping from country to country cause some one some where doesn't like us, or isnt doing it our way.

We are not obligated to take care of anyone but the citizens of America first and foremost ---------- and about time we start remembering that in my opinion !!!!

oh, and we should have the back of our "friends," but just like in real life - when a friend acts a fool and risks ur life.......that friend is on their own.

It should have been to further democracy around the world, repeating the so-called white man's burden undertaken by Britain.

That didn't happen.

So now it's to protect ourselves and join Australia, India and China in opposing the coming Islamic Europe, Russia, and Middle East.
