Do you consider subway to be a fast food place or not...it's fast but it's fresh (not greasey)...? What do you think?

I don't consider it fast food because if you've ever seen that Michael Moore movie, SuperSize Me, he ask 50 nutiritionist how often people should eat fast food and almost all of them said never. A Nutritionist would say differently for subway.
Refer to what SubwayGirl said. I completely agree with her. Quick Service Restaurant. Not Fast Food.

I consider any place that you get food quickly and usually don't eat it there to be fast food, so yes Subway is fast food, its better than a lot of other places, as most sandwich fast food places are (Quizno's and Jimmy Johns as well), but that doesn't take away its fast-foodness.

I think I would consider it fast food because it is not a sit down meal place. I am not totally sure thou. However I don't really care for it, I have been twice and both times they put the chicken in the microwave right in front of you and over cook it so it taste like rubber.

Yes, because you don't get table service. Fast food does not mean greasy but means you don't get seated and no one comes to your table to take your order. It means you have to go to a counter or window and place your order. You are paying for the food, not for the service!

There are different categories: fast food, quick service restaurant, casual dining, fine dining. Subway is considered a quick service restaurant (QSR).
