No, I don't agree with it, because if your friends are true, they'll never let you face or deal with something alone. They'll be there for you no matter what. They wouldn't let you go through something by yourself.

You could also look at it as in when you have to make a decision. You can ask people for advice til the cows come home but ultimately they final say so is yours.
I feel that on this path of life it's just me and God...hanging tight.
