Its an old name, I have a great grand mother named Ruby, but I also know someone in their twenties named Ruby, I personally like the name and think its not overused.

I like it alot. It has a sweet old fashioned appeal. But it isnt over done at all.

I like the name, but it's too common for me to use on a child, so I named one of my cats Ruby.... her middle name is Mae....
