So far one out of five people was able to determine that this is a YES or NO question. Not sure where the personal attacks come in?

The Sumerians also drew a "Heliocentric Model" six thousand years ago. That was ignored as well.

There are three answers to your question: yes, no and no. 1) yes. Nibiru was a name used by the Babylonians (and in Sumerian documents) for the planet we call Jupiter. Jupiter is not coming this way. Not for 2012. Not ever. --- 2) no. Nibiru was created for a story written in the 1960s by Zechariah Sitchin. In his story, the planet has a very eccentric orbit that brings it to the inner solar system (where we are) every 3700 years. In Zechariah's story, the next return cannot be before the year 2085. When it does come into the inner system, Nibiru cannot harm Earth. In fact, the inhabitants of Nibiru need us to stay alive, otherwise they cannot get what they need to survive their 3699-year winter. But it is a story (therefore, not true -- even though Zechariah himself believes it might be true). --- 3. no The planet Nibiru as used in the Big 2012 Hoax is an outright theft (a breach of copyright law). The original hoax involved Planet X (itself very fake). It was supposed to pass close to Earth in May-June 2003 and cause all kinds of problems, including a global tsunami. Charlatans were selling survival kits and selling books on how to survive. After June 2003... the book was not selling so well. So they needed to recycle their hoax. That is when they started taking (stealing) ideas from other hoaxes and stories -- for example the fake end-of-the-Mayan-calendar invented by José in the 1990s. Because they had a hard time explaining the return of a planet that was supposed to be a rogue planet (no orbit) -- especially given that the planet had missed its appointment -- they stole ideas (and the name) from Zechariah's story. Without Zechariah's permission. Zechariah did formally complain (in writing) but the charlatans were already making money much faster than Zechariah. No one cared about poor Zechariah. --- Roland's movie (to be released later this Fall) is called "2012" even though it is really about the 2003 story. Roland avoided a lot of the "enhancements" added for the Big 2012 Hoax (things like the name Nibiru) because Roland wants to avoid copyright issues. --- Most of the videos on YouTube about Nibiru (especially the "Are you ready series") were prepared by the Big 2012 Hoax charlatans. They use a lot of ideas from Zechariah's story, but they changed a lot of the data to make it fit with the 2012 Hoax. For example, they change the orbital period. --- The Brown dwarf Nemesis does not exist. It was imagined back in the 1980s from a theory (published in a scientific paper). The theory was discarded in the 1990s, well before the hoaxers created the Big 2012 Hoax. According to the theory, if Nemesis really existed, it would be coming back in 17 million years or so. If it really existed, it would have been found with modern infrared telescopes. It ain't there. The only people who still talk about the brown dwarf Nemesis are people pushing the Big 2012 Hoax.

If there is a planet orbiting beyond Pluto, it would not be any planet known to humanity or that had been seen before. For starters, if such a body had a highly elliptical orbit with a period in the range of 3000 years as proposed, it would be close enough to observe in the infrared spectrum and via gravitational interactions. On the other hand, any large body that sat further from the Sun might have escaped notice, but also would have a nearly circular orbit that would not carry it to the inner Solar System. So, to sum up, if Nibiru existed, either we'd already know about it or it would have no effect on us at all. It's can't be undiscovered and also pose a catastrophic threat to us.

Nibiru is supposedly this planet that takes a bigger orbit around the Sun. And supposedly the aliens that came to Earth and taught Sumerians maths and science came from there.
If you believe this stuff, the shortest distance between Nibiru and Earth comes in place every 3600 years. Supposedly, the next occurence is set to occur in 2012 (and a lot of crazy new age people attach great doom to this year).
If you ask me, this whole thing smells like dog caca, but if you really feel like diving into it you might want to read Zecharia Sitchin's books. Apparently he translated ancient Sumerian texts that describe aliens coming from a place called Nibiru.

Nibiru is a Sumerian mythological planet. According to Zechariah Sitchin, who studied Sumerian religious texts, it orbits the sun approximately 3600 years, and cannot be observed. The current explanation for this is that it is now on the other side of the sun and will appear in the southern hemisphere "soon". IOWs, don't hold your breath waiting for it to show up because it doesn't exist ;-> ...
