I sometimes think women have little or no control over spending. Therefore, they need a man who is owner of the credit card so he can manage silly spending and maybe guide her to only buy useful things for around the house. Ex. blender, vacuum cleaner, or a new microwave only if she has been good.

I think your way off on your head here. My mother always carried her purse, so she always had her wallet. Which meant her credit cards and her ID were always with her. My farther did pay for the meals, but my mother was never without her purse. Which she kept more in then just change. All 'N' all, as usually you have taken things WAY too far. There is no 'official money holder', OR 'leader' in a RELATIONSHIP, (does that sound familiar?) And what is with and these 'unwritten rules' of yours??? Honestly you scare me sometimes, and I'm not joking when I say that

Hi Sandstorm. : )
I am one up on you. I don't use credit cards for the fact they do make it easy to spend too much money and they charge interest.
Now, about the part where we should buy only useful items.. can you tell me when your birthday is? I'd like to buy you a lawn mower ( just basic so we aren't wasting money ) and I thought maybe some plumbing supplies for your house. Would that be okay with you ? Have you been good to get these items?
I actually miss this!

Have a great day, Sandstorm.

Since you are obviously writing this ...ah.... question...
from an institution for the completely seperated from reality I will be as ..um... civil... as I can be... under the circumstances...
Are you completely crazy? You have got to be joking! "My" man isn't an idiot. You need to familiarize yourself with the 19th century thinking, and then if your heart survives that intake, try to move on up the CENTURIES until you arrive at the "here and now"...
With your Doctor's approval; of course. You aren't married, are you? Not that it's obvious, or anything...

I don't have a man, but my dad trusts me with a credit card. He knows that I won't go crazy and go on a shopping spree with it. I can control my spending.

No man allows me to do anything. I choose to do what I want, when I want, with whom I want, etc. I am an adult and my credit cards have my name on them, and I pay the bills. So, I really think you should get your head out of your a**.

I handle my family's finances. Being a veteran of corporate administration, I'm more than qualified. And for the record: MY credit scores blow the doors off of my husband's, thankyouverymuch.

You must have woken up this morning and said' "Hey, what stupid question could I ask to get a bunch of angry answers from women, who will tell me what an idiot I am so I can feel special and have attention."
Well, this is the one.
Goal for the day- achieved.
