Yes I believe global spiritual awakening is at hand. More and more people every day wonder where this downfall leads the human race. Weather conditions, poverty, wars, famine, diseases, mental deterioration, and lack of affection for fellow human beings, deforestation, extinction of animals, pollution… where do all that lead us?
Are we going to stand by and witness our own annihilation or we are going to take the next step to spiritual evolution and restore the planet introducing a new ethical code of existence?

Nothing so dramatic! I think the major impacts of tech will really affect humanity in 15-20 years. Did you read about the "boy robot" yesterday? There will be a robot boy who can be a friend to a child available within 3 years, expected to sell for $200-300. There will be increasing interaction between humans & tech creations.

Yes, I expect lots of amazing things to happen in my lifetime. To begin with, I expect my lifetime to be very, very long, because I intend to have my mind transferred to a computer so that I will no longer have to fear biological death. After that, all the other stuff, like contact with extraterrestrial intelligences, the discovery of other universes, etc, will all come eventually.

I'm hoping that we will discover life on Mars in my lifetime. Even if it's only bacteria, I still think that will be pretty amazing.

There's an old Chinese curse that says, "May you live in interesting times." I'm still trying to comprehend why exactly that was meant as a curse....
