I've been richer. And I've been poorer.
Today I am enjoying a day filled with much-needed rain. We've had a drought for months.
I have coffee in the pot and food in the pantry. I consider myself blessed.
The true poor in the US suffer from lack of education and employability skills. They do not suffer from handouts, as there are missions on every corner in the inner city. They suffer from self worth and dignity and ambition. And I don't see Liberals giving them any of these things.

By poor you must mean those in Africa and other 3rd world nations that are starving to death. Anyone who is sitting at a computer (as well as anyone living in a western civilized nation) isn't poor.

I worry about the young, the infirm and those with mental and physcial challenges. As to the rest, nope. Sorry. Being poor in America is like starving in the buffet line. Whose fault is it?

There are so many programs designed to help the poor. It's the poor children who don't know any better that I pray for.

I care about poor children. Those who have stupid parents who don't care if their kids eat a decent meal for days, and sit around abusing drugs.

Not too well, I'd say. Trying to provide substance, shelter along with opportunities for the children is not easy when your pay check doesn't meet your necessities. All you neo convervatives should try it for a while.

LOL define poor.
Todays average poor family owns 2 cars. They own their house. They own 2 computers. They have cable and 3 TVs on average.
Oh and lets not forget that because they fall into the "poor" catagory. They get their food paid for by the government as well as help paying the bills.
David R - I have thought about moving back to Europe. The hard part is getting the wife to agree :)

I lost my job in the US and couldn't afford to pay for healthcare for me and my family. That's why I moved to Europe - kicking a*s here! Plus the weak dollar is really helping me to pay off my debts!!!
