my best suggestion is to think about the bad mean nick names that could be possibly made for the names:
the middle name isn't so bad since those are rarely heard in school. Usually you can be as artisitc or religious as you want with the middle name. Also negative connotations in names can have a psychological affect on people.
So let's check Owen and Leonard-
owen - broken down Owe - n (a person who is constantly oweing to other people), Ow-en (pain, hurt, injuries), o-wen ("oh, when..? when will I do this, when will I get a break?)
... but definately it's very hard to make fun of Owen as a name. except if he became chubby then he'd be owen the Boeing.
Leonard - broken down Leonard doesn't have too much negativity, just that the "ard" does have the leading into being called "tard" or "retard" which is messed up, but it happens. If you choose this name you just have to teach your son to be very confident in himself. and it should work out.
In general for names stay hopeful he'll be the popular kid, and if they're not the popular kid, well... be there for him when they get hurt by name calling. And the only thinkg you can do to help them before they are born is to give them a name that doesn't mess them up like "le'mule", or "Harry Peter" the first name was a kid from my graduating class, and the second name almost happened to a child of someone I know... the first name was the name of the grandfather for the child, and the middle name was the father's name. But the father refused because of the ridicule he got growing up for being named "Peter." Though, what a messed up mom for not realizing it right away, right?

Owen Lewis is great! I would use this form, however, since the French/Dutch "Louis" seems an odd match with Celtic Owen. I have plenty of Irish relations with the given or surname Lewis, however, so that seems perfectly fitting in my mind. ;)
While I love Leopold and love the possible nickname Leo, Leonard simply isn't my favorite formal version. Not a bad name by any means. Just not my favorite form.
Hope that helps!
