Rethink getting rid of it. Before the invention of modern herbacides, an ideal lawn included about 20% clover.
Clover fixes nitrogen to the soil; a lawn with clover will need less fertilizer. Clover needs much less water than grass and will stay green in the heat of summer when grass goes dormant. Clover can be mown as short as grass.
Keep your clover!

Ortho Weed and Clover Killer
If you follow the instructions exactly as stated on the bottle the herbicide will not kill your grass.
Clover re-seeds every winter and if you have healthy grass you will prevent the reseeding. Mow often to prevent the flowering. It will more than likely take you a couple seasons to rid your yard of the clover depending on the climate in your area.
