holy **** im suprised your computer didnt blow up, anyways
i suggest you do more scan because with other anti virus
products because avg will miss some download avast
www.avast.com free and do a scan in safe mode , to do
that turn on your computer and right away start tapping
F8 like crazy , scan, also what kind of firewall are you using ?
use comodo, also im pretty sure ur computer has been used
to attack websites and also send spam and who knows what else.

Did you turn off system restore when you did the scan.

If not...

Empty the Vault and do another scan with the system restore turned off.

Viruses,Trojans and Malware like to hide there and AVG does not clean that section.

After you do the scan again and it detects Viruses empty the Vault and turn system restore back on..

Empty the vault, then run AVG again.

Find some good spyware software, AdAware or Spybot, and run that as well.

If it come back clean, the only thing you need to do, is let them run on a regular basis to make sure your PC stays clean.

Wow...yeah you might be ok. But if you continue to download stuff you think are getting for free and not use smart browsing techniques, you will be infected again.

Your virusprogramm usually does that for you.
It will put them into Quarantine or delete them.
Depending on The Virusprotection you have, it is possible to delete them also.
