I've asked it before, I'm asking it again, in all seriousness...WHAT are REPUBLICANS Doing to Make the US and the World a BETTER place?

Republicans, neocons and conservatives are CONSTANTLY railing against global warming, the UN, this charity organization or another, they're against this cause or that cause. It doesn't seem like Republicans believe in much except for George W. Bush, "trickle down" economics, making and keeping money for themselves, and God. But you wouldn't know they believed in the latter or his Son, Jesus Christ by the way they act. So my question is What Are REPUBLICANS Doing to Make the US and the World a Better Place?

Try to keep it civil. Thanks!

I'm still waiting for a REAL Republican answer, one based on fact, logic and reason not name calling and insults. Good Luck!

As far as I can tell, not one thing. They are making profit for themselves, however, and that's what is important.

As far as making the US better . . . Unemployment is extremely low and has been for a while. The job market is outstanding, particularly for college graduates just coming out of school. The low taxes have helped everyone and has kept the economy strong, despite being dragged down by the housing problems.

Personally I believe that the president appointed two very qualified judges to the supreme court, which helps the country.(although both republicans and democrats deserve recognition here because these justices were confirmed in the senate.

We have not had a terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11, and based on the amount of terrorist activity we have seen overseas in the past 6 years, then the government must be doing something right (at least with respect to the US).

As far as the world, there has been much less achieved, but personnaly I care more about the US first. The US government (Republican or Democrat) has very little say in what happens in other countries--what exactly were you expecting them to do that they didn't?. We have strengthened ties with important countries though, such as Japan, Austrailia, Germany, France, England, Canada, and India. Other relationships have suffered though so its a wash.

You give examples of what we're doing:

1. We're opposing the idiocy being spouted by Gore and his lackey's about Global Warming. Yes, climate is changing. Always has, always will. In order for us to make dramatic change, we need good scientific evidence that man made global warming will be harmful to man, and that spending trillions to reduce our CO2 output isn't spent better adapting to the warming, regardless if it is natural or man made. You should check out the site I've linked to below. The guy who runs this site is the same guy who debunked "The Hockey Stick" graph of global warming, and now he's finding numerous problems with US weather stations all over the nations being situated next to artificial heat sources, such as air conditioner exhausts or being surrounded by pavement that gives off heat. Of the 1/3 or so stations investigated, only a tiny fraction meet the necessary requirements for accurate temperature recording.

2. Trickle down works. The evidence is all around you. If it didn't work, our nation would consist of a small amount of ultra rich, and the rest of us would all be poor. The fact that isn't the case means trickle down works, and has been working long before Reagan ever mentioned it.

3. I suppose the Senior Prescription Drug benefit doesn't count either, huh?

Update: Dude, you got several good ones even before you left your follow up taunt.

Sadly, Republicans and Democrats are doing little. The only way to make the world a better place is to maximize liberty. This means leaving men free to do as they choose with their time, talents, and assets. Unfortunately, Republicans choose to interfere(Patriot Act, tariffs on trade, etc.), and so do Democrats(welfare, SS, and trade restrictions, as well).

What an absolutely absurd question. I'm quite honestly shocked you're smart enough to figure out how to turn the computer on and log on to Yahoo Answers. Just make sure you really warm up first, you appear to be in danger of pulling something... well... other than that...

Why limit your question to Republicans? Why not include Democrats? I'd be rather amused at your response to the body of work of Ms. Pelosi as Speaker, or the collective of the Congressional democrats who have a lower approval rating than the President.

You say to keep it civil, but have all of the socialist talking points down pretty good. Anti-God, Anti-wealth... and you want the world to be a better place? Hm.. we banned CFC's, Mexico didn't, and the hole in the Ozone went away... Yep, must have been the ban... lol... Simple minded freak...

they (neo-cons bushies is what im talking about. not the common average joe conservative) have not done one thing to make the US or the world a better place. They are a bunch of hypocrites claiming to be morel however their actions dont reflect it. the only god they care about is the dollar, they use emotional issues to get elected but once in office they spit on their base. conservatives open your eyes you had 6 years of total control of government and did you get prayer in schools, did abortions stop, was illegal immigration stoped, did jobs stay in america, did the deficit go down, was gay marriage stoped? non of your issues passed. open your eyes neo cons dont care about you, me or any person in the world except for their elite business partners. how can you trust a party to govern when they run on the premise that government doesnt work. its time to start believing your own eyes and ears and not what the right wing propaganda pumps into the air waves every day by fox news and the like.

You where not exactly civil by referring to us as neocons. The true neocons are the democratic members of the ACLU that try and stop most things that are equal and just. Just for starters Republicans are trying to create world peace....

Well the majority of soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are repubs and they are keeping the insurgents too busy for them to even think about attacking the US again. I think that's enough don't you? The economy is at a historical high and unemployment is at an all time low.

BTW, I'm not a repub so don't even try to say that I'm spewing their repub stuff. I call it like I see it.

Trying to develop a school voucher program to help inner city folks escape the mediocre government run schools - but having those efforts blocked by democrats who collect money from the teachers unions as the payoff of blocking school vouchers.

Grace unto you, and peace thereof.

All Law vs Law sides wars are as Loser vs Loser.
Being right, to make others wrong, is also wrong.
All sides wars have this side effect: a dead end.

Grace neither makes nor takes sides.
Grace cannot lie (law) nor die (law).
Law vs Law notably does both.

Grace with you all. Amen.
