how many times can i use a venus razor?Don't answer if you're going to be rude!?

yes i know i should always use a fresh razor everytime i shave,but i wonder if this goes for a venus gillete razor also...They are kind of expensive...How many times can i use one...Can i throw it out after 3 uses? or what? Thanx in advance...

once you have to go over the same area more then a few times to get all the hair, your razor is too dull and should be replaced with a new one.

i wouldn't use a fresh one each time either, they are SO expensive.

as someone else said, just dry it off after you use it, and keep it away from moisture when not in use (put it in your bedroom or somewhere other then the bathroom.)

venus razors are my favorite! they are pretty much the only ones i will use. whoever is telling you to throw it out after each use is wasteful! that is why there are disposable razors.THOSE are the ones you throw out. if it is not disposable, it is good for many uses. plus you never have to throw it out, you can just buy new cartridges for it, which is cheaper than buying a new one every time it gets old.

i've read you should still throw any razor out after a max. of 10 uses, but i find that the venus razors are so good, i use them for a LONG time. i hardly ever change the cartridge to be honest, and i never get nicks! i would say just keep using it until you notice it is starting to not give you as close of a shave, or you're starting to get cuts, or feel really dry and scratchy afterwards. that's what i do and i have the smoothest legs ever!

I have never heard of anyone throwing away their razor after three uses. I'm not sure who told you that but there's really no need to do that because the blades are still sharp after such few uses. I stop using my venus when I feel that the blades are dull. You'll know that they're dull because when you're running the shaver over your hair, the shaver is barely shaving the hair and pulls your hair. I have a venus where you can just replace the cartridge and keep the actual handle. Just remember to clean your blades (and overall razor) in between uses - make sure it's free of hair and shaving cream.

Who told you you have to use a fresh razor every time? That's just wasteful; I've been able to get 10-12 shaves out of a Gillete (though not a venus).

I usually throw a razor away after three uses too. I don't think you need to use a new one each time, especially with the Venus razors, those are expensive. I don't use them anymore. To me all razors are the same.

That's usually what I do, I'll shave everything I shave about three times with the razor and then I'll throw it out b/c I use those Venus shavers too and I hate spending that much money on them but they do work good

The whole idea of using a fresh razor every time is a bunch of crap... those things are expensive!! I use dry mine with a towel after each use and throw it away either when it starts getting dull or within a week, whichever comes first. Hope that helps...

I don't know. I use all my razors several times, or until my shave quality gets poor. When I used venus, i'd use them for 2 weeks at a time! Just use a good shave gel and rinse it when you're finished. It will save you tons of money. When you get out of the shower, rub baby oil on your legs while they are still wet. I promise you will have the SOFTEST legs ever....you probably won't even shave for a couple of days.

I never use a fresh razor every time I shave. That's wasteful - razors are good for weeks. You're actually more prone to nicks and cuts on its initial use because it's so darn sharp. Use disposable razors for a few weeks. I don't know about the Venus - I thought it was one of those that you buy refills for?
