Just more in a long line of insanity that , continues to demonstrate why, it has been said
"Liberalism is a mental disorder"

Very little. Just because the Republicans are so outraged over this doesn't mean it's going to affect the Democrats or those who will surely still vote for them. Nobody who is against the Republicans already is going to change their mind because of this ad, even those who didn't care for the tone of it. We've become so used to conservative smear tactics in this country that when Democrats do it? It comes off as more "I wish they wouldn't lower themselves to the tactics of the far right" rather than "Oh, they're terrible, I'll have to go with the Republicans instead." I think more Democrats are ashamed of the fact that MoveOn.Org lowered themselves to this sort of thing, which seems a very swift boat thing to do. After all, one of the Democrat's main things is pointing out the underhanded smear tactics and character assassination that the neocons have been engaging in for years now. And Rudy Giuliani putting out an ad deliberately connecting Clinton to MoveOn.Org simply because she refused to denounce the ad is a good example of exactly what I'm talking about. What an opportunity for Rudy. It gave him the perfect platform to slam MoveOn.Org, connect Hillary to them, and rant about Hillary's questioning of Petraeus all in one fell swoop. The Republicans have NO room to talk.

Probably not much this time but if they do something like that again it would be in the best inerests of the Democratic party to tell MoveOn.org that they appreciate the effort to support them but the over the top stuff like that must stop.

As an independent voter I don't have much say in whom gets selected in the nomination process of the major parties. I do however take notes on groups like this and who they endorse and hesitate in casting my vote for that candidate. The current democratic candidates were all praise on the general just a short while ago but when someone take out a political ad against him they just shrug their shoulders and say that's politics? Not exactly presidential material in my book.

Not much, in the long run -- any more than, say, the Swiftbloat folks damaged Republicans.

As a conservative Democrat, I don't really pay attention to extremists from either end of the spectrum.

A bit. Every time one of these left wing looney orgs like dailykos or moveon.org does something like this that's associated with the Dems, it chips away slightly at their credibility with the people who really don't pay that much attention to politics.

Moveon.org just might provide the Swift Boat difference in a close '08 election

Irreversible damage. They basically blew the election for the Democrats in 2008. They should have stuck with Bush Bashing.

The only thing the American people have faith in anymore is the military, and they just bombed General Petraeus.

It is the new "swift boat vets" ad campaign piece that will never go away. I laugh at their political stupidity. There is no room in presidential politics for radicalism. It will fail every time, on either side, or any independent.

As a conservative, I don't believe it's done much damage to them at all. The people who are devoted to moveon.org, aren't going to change their opinions and conservatives like myself already see and know it for what it is.

None probably.
IF the democratic candidates have to appease this group somehow, then there could be some damage.
Too bad SOME libs can't see that.

The damage is incalculable!! America has another taste of just how radical the organization is that the Democrat Party is beholden to.
