Sport, up is a relative thing, and it applies only to you and you alone. The human mind wants to simplify and modify the universe so he is the center of it. But in the universe, it just doesn't work like that. "Up" to you is different than up for any other person, even if they are standing right next to you, because you are standing on a sphere. Think about it. If you are in Los Angeles, looking straight up, and a person in Singapore is looking straight up, you are both looking in roughly opposite directions, but you are both looking "up". If you were looking up at the Moon, and someone on the Moon was looking up at Earth, who is really looking up? There is no up in space, either, because it is gigantic, and as far as we know endless in every direction, and the gravitational forces that act on planets, stars, moons, meteorites, comets, and other objects come from all directions. If you were blindfolded and stuck in a spaceship, or even if you were not blindfolded, and you had no reference to where Earth was, you would not have a clue about which way up was, because there isn't an up. The point is, since there is no up or down in the universe, there is only distance. And as far as we know, that distance is endless. So when you are looking into the sky, you are looking into a distance so far that it isn't calculatable, and furthermore, when you lay on the beach with your girlfriend and gaze into the night sky and you see a star, you are not actually seeing the star, but you are seeing the light that left that star many light years ago. Now here's the important thing. As I pointed out, you are laying on the beach with your girlfriend, gazing at the stars. While you are worried about how high is up, she's already unbuttoned the top two buttons of her blouse. That's your signal to unbutton the rest and start working on that bra. If you're lucky, it's one of those front-hook ones.

up is as far as you can go and still have a 'down'..... so I'd say it's limit would be where a body is far enuff away from the Earth's gravitational pull to be weightless..... cuz 'down' isn't around at that point... only 'out'.....

It's so high it becomes down. It is, essentially, infinite.

If you have the mental capacity to type that question, you shouldn't be asking it.
