My nickname has been H-Bomb since my junior high days - When I played basketball I bombed them from outside, hated playing interior, in High School the student body actually held H-Bomb signs up when I scored, sure wish the 3 point line would have been around way back then.
The name has stuck all these years.

Years ago when I was in school we had a girl named Amelia how had a bad habit of falling down, tripping over stuff. Just not looking where she was going. She was nicknamed Grace. And called that to this day by her old school mates (it's over 40 years later).
Wasn't much later that we (and Grace) found out that her parents had originally intended to name her Grace (had never said a word to anyone about this). But do to an ailing grandmother who wanted her legacy (name) to continue, they changed their mind.
Hows that for irony?

My actual first call is Natalie. yet even on account that i grew to become right into a infant i've got continually been suggested as best chum. My father and mother say it grew to become into through fact of my older brother Ryan. He grew to become into purely 5 - 6 yet he had a lisp till he grew to become into ten and apparently Natalie grew to become into purely too no longer person-friendly. So ever on account that he suggested as me best chum, and that i think of it rubbed off on my father and mother and all of us else in my existence. i assume best chum does some how come off of the call Natalie, yet maximum human beings assume my actual call is Alexandra so i'm getting Alex each and every so often. i've got in no way truly had to describe it to human beings nonetheless, I continually introduce myself as best chum and pass away it at that :)

Sort of. I knew a girl in high school named Wilma. We called her Fred (as in Fred and Wilma Flintstone). And my best friend's little sister was called Becky. But her real name was Michelle. The family story was that my friend was a toddler and couldn't say Mickey, which is what they were calling the newborn Michelle. Instead, she kept saying "Bicky." It stuck and evolved into Becky. And my dad Lester is called Turtle by my cousin (now in his 50s) who as a toddler couldn't say Lester and called dad Ter, which became Turtle.

My uncle's name is Roger, but his nickname is Peanut. After he was born, the nurse brought him to his mom all swaddled up in his blanket. The nurse commented that he looked like a cute little peanut. Somehow, the name stuck.

Yeah I know a Theresa and she goes by Lisa. I knew her for awhile as Lisa and then somone in her family called her Theresa. I was like, "how did you guys get Lisa" and no one had an answer so I don't know why.
I've always thought it was weird that John's go by Jack. I think someone told me why one time but I can't remember.
