i'm want to transfer to one of these schools following this year...ill probably have a 3.0 gpa or higher....i hear transfering to schools is easier than getting in right out of high school

virginia tech
georgia tech
michigan state university
ohio state university
university of florida
university of north carolina @ chapel hill
louisiana state university

If that is a college GPA, you probably can get into some of them. I would doubt Florida or UNC Chapel Hill, but I think some of the others you may be okay with. This would not be true for someone with a 3.0 in high school, though!

I must admit that I know very little about any of the schools except MSU, which I know requires a 3.4. You might see about Northern Michigan University or Bowling Green, as both of those schools have admission requirements that are more suited to your scores.

I know most state sponsored schools need you to have a 2.0 or 2.5, well at least that is for transferring to a Kansas school.

the only place you probably wouldn't get in is unc chapel hill. it's VERY competitive. but the others i think you have quite a good chance.

Your GPA isn't always the most important things when it comes to college applications. Your SAT or ACT score is pretty important along with your activities.
