No, in fact they're moving backwards. As they extoll the virtues of socialism the rest of the world is rapidly moving as far away from it as they can.

Has even one of you looked at their website? Judging from most of the answers on here, you haven't. They did not come about when Bush was narrowly elected, nor are they still mired in the Clinton impeachment. They were not affiliated with either party when they came about. They were sick of the partisan BS swirling around the Clinton impeachment that they felt was occupying way too much of the Congress' attention. Now, they are trying to stop the war among other things. Get a grip and give it a rest.

Moveon.org is a creation of the "New Left" and is the power behind the Democrat Party. They are guiding the party to the extreme left, towards socialism. The leaders in the Democrat party are expected to be in lock-step with them and their agenda, or suffer the consequences.

And you are obcessed by a group you consider loonies because????

They have apparently gotten their message out because enough people are talking about it. They have been successful.

I don't always agree with them and think that MoveOn.org is often too liberal for my tastes but they do have the right to their opinion. Remember it is only THEIR opinion. No one says you or anyone else has to agree with them. So if you don't like them putting up an and put one up to counter it.

At the outset I thought moveon.org was a conservative political action committee urging the Democrat Party to "move on" and just accept that Bush won the election.

why don'y "conservatives" think that the big wigs are out to exploit the working man by rallying them around social issues liek abortion or gay marriage (things by the way that shouldn't affect you at all - they're rights for people and you don't need to excercies them) while they pilfer this country to line thier own pockets. And don't tell me this isn't true. Its so we;l documented that people are staring at it but can't see the trees for the forest. And yeah Moveon.org is the same **** Rove assembles to tell his lies too. Grassroots organiziation. Its the people speaking.

Moveon.org is a political action committee, or PAC. It was formed in response to a large number of conservative PAC's. It is neither a bad thing or a good thing, It is simp[ly an organization that opposes the conservative action groups that have been quite powerful in shaping legislation.

Moveon.org is a patriotic organization in self defense against the regressive right and the stranglehold it has on American politics.
The much debated ad was totally truthful and there was nothing wrong with it.Another assault by conservatives on free speech. They can say insinuate and slander anyone who doesn't follow in lockstep with their idea's but criticize one of them with cold hard facts and they are outraged. There was one reference to betraying in the headline.I think it was mild if anything.

Yes they moved on and they will keep, moving on until America is once again the land of the free

Moveon.org is actually taking a page out of the Republicans book, as all the original netprofit political advocacy groups were origanlly conservative. Moveon is sucessful because they have so much cash, and can intimidate Democrats with their power. Theyweree strong enough to get Lieberman off the Democratic ticket.

I agree with you completely.... and I'll take it further, www.kerrylied.com and www.swiftvets.com need to go away too. Move on both libs and cons, you are getting SOOOOOOOOOOOOO boring.

All of you attacking moveon.org are hypocritical if you don't see your own side doing this too.... both parties have fringe extremists that lie and distort the truth. Live with it unless you are going to change it in your own parties.

They latched upon an opportunity to divide America and only the Dems bought it hook , line , and sinker . This organization will be the ultimate downfall and destruction of the Democratic Party UNLESS they break ties and disavow any attachment whatsoever. . . . NOW .
