There is floccinaucinihilipilification in Webster's and pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis in Oxford, both words in relatively common usage, although the latter is shortened to silicosis or black lung.
For extremely long words, check out Mrs. Byrne's Dictionary of Unusual, Obscure, and Preposterous Words, by Josefa Heifetz Byrne, the famous concert pianist (it's her hobby to collect odd words). In it you will find the word for the tryptophan synthesase A protein, a 1913 letter chemical name.

It's antidisestablishmentarianism. The one others have mentioned is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. I've discovered that Yahoo! Answers won't show the whole word for some reason, so I'll split it in two:
volcanoultramicroscopic
silicovolcanoconiosis

You're thinking of antidisestablishmentarianism (28 letters). Even longer is "antidisestablish mentarianistically" (34). "pneumonoultramicrosco picsilicovolcanoconiosis" (45 letters) - this word was originally created as a hoax.
Sorry these words are broken into two - it wouldn't post them as one single word on this board, but they are just one word each.
