First, you'll have to do a 4yr bac, then 4 yrs of medical school. After you'll have to work as a psychiatric resident for 4yrs before becoming a psychiatrist.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor that treats Psychiatric conditions. You will need an MD. If you are talking about being a psychologist you will need a MS or PhD. If you do not have a PhD. you will have to work under a psychiatrist or PhD. psychologist.

You must first become a MEDICAL doctor, and then back to school to study the mind. About 7 years, and extremely difficult.

You will need four years of college, preferably with a psychology major. Then you will have to at least get a master's degree in psychology to apply for a license in your state.
