I am ordering clothes for my daughter. She is wearing a 6/7 now and is about 3 inches taller than me. Most of these newer size charts here are telling me this is a "Large"..WTF?

That's ridiculous and so disheartening, it's no small wonder young girls are hung up on body size and image.

what asses!!!!!!! I wear a 3/5 and sometimes 7 and what the hell, is that large too? I guess anything above 1 or 0 is fat. or as the phrase people like to overuse: CURVY. I mean its better than being called fat (because we ARENT), but somebody would call a girl "curvy" enough if they were a size 2 and the only curves were breast implants

I think the ruling come from the Official Ruling & Judgement
# 407L - that states "If the individual in question turns sideways and her profile is thicker than a page in Elle ....she is branded a Large"

I know what you mean! I can't really depend on buying soley on size, I have to really look at it to see if it will fit. They've got things all screwed up! I don't even care about what the tag says anymore... as long as I look cute in it! :)

since kate moss!

i suppose there are these 'standard shapes' you must be in to be considered 'slim' -- tall, long torso, long legs and super-skinny! i think it's disgusting, but thankfully, more and more people are starting to think so too!
