What happened last time Jimmy 'peanut brain' was president?

Double digit unemployment

Double digit inflation

Double digit interest rates, actually they got to about 18%.

Hostages in Iran for 18 months.

Gave away the panama canal

Of course he kept the price of gas cheap, the only problem was THERE WAS NO GAS, people waited in line for hours to buy gas.

Ran out the Shah of Iran, a pro-american suit-wearing leader of Iran who let women go to school and not wear burkas. He was westernizing Iran. By undermining the Shah, we got the Iatolla, and we still have problems with Iran.

Of course, after flushing the USA down the toilet like he did, Ronald Reagan was elected.

Ok, I see your point. Jimmy Carter for president in 2008!!!!

Not no, but HELL NO! I voted for him when he was first elected. I was tired of the bickering between Congress and the White House. I figured having Democrats control both things would really get better.

Boy was I wrong. Carter is a nice guy. But don't expect him to accomplish anything. If you think Bush is a failure look at what interest rates, inflation rates , and unemployment were under Carter.

OVER ANYONE ON THE REPUBLICAN TICKET

I

Jimmy Carter started sanctions against the USSR.( over the Afganistan conflict) This caused great hardship with their economy. THEN he started sending covert funds to the Afganistan Freedom fighters. This caused great pain in USSR with families of USSR soldiers that were being sent home in body bags. A brilliant foriegn affairs policy that was quickly adopted by President Ron Reagan as soon as he got into office. Great dissent regarding this war was commonplace across the USSR, leading to the country's eventual dimise.
All of which, mistakenly, has been credited to Ronald Reagan.

This is a joke......RIGHT. The guy produced uncontrollable inflation. Gas prices went through the roof with shortages that made access impossible. The airline deregulation has led to what you see today. His corrupt administration was kin to Nixon, his ability to fight ends up in the desert downfall of our choppers. His foreign relations ability led to kidnapping of our people, with only peace accords which lasted till he left office (they weren't real from the beginning).

The only good this guy mustered was to get defeated in the re-election process. Even his Habitat for Humanity efforts are limited to the camera time to show his useless efforts to raise a wall. When the cameras leave so does Jimmy.

No because he is too good to be president again and to inherit the mess from the present administration! Anyway, he remains active, effective and influential as a former president!

Hey, he'd be better than anybody who's talking about running right now. Too bad he's so old.

Then again, after the past almost-seven-years....almost anybody looks good.
