at this point it dosnt matter why we are in the war, who's fault and reasoning becuase we cant change that we are there. So my question is to the people who think we need to pull out of the war. What do you think will happen once we do?

People will indeed stop dying in Iraq, but begin dying elsewhere.

If we leave Iraq, the imminent danger to America and her ungrateful and backstabby allies will remain the same. When we neutralize Saudi Arabia (has gotten by with 9/11 murder while hiding behind the propaganda that they are respectable world citizens) and subdue Iran, then maybe peace will prevail, at least for awhile.

Sadly, there's not good reason to leave Iraq now. The mission must be completed, otherwise, all the men and women who have given their lives and limbs will have done so in vain, à la Vietnam, when Saigon fell in April 1975.

I'm afraid there's always going to be war, even if its not an American war.

It seems pretty clear that the Shiites and Sunnis will launch a full scale civil war if the US pulls out, with the Iranians arming the Shiites and Saudi Arabia arming the Sunnis. Iran would probably cross the border and occupy part or all of Iraq, and Turkey might be forced to make an incursion to protect their border against Kurdish insurgents. Hundreds of thousands of people will die.

Iraq will fall to the strongest rebel force, then the war will really start. The smaller forces will be fighting for their lives and another Africa will start.
I can only imagine Iran or, another nation, maybe Afghanistan will jump in with aid to some of the rebel groups and, then all hell is going to break loose.

We're keeping the "cap" on the bottle for now, barely, but when we leave, it'll be like 'Nam, why not?

Iraq will collapse. The violence you see now will be tenfold.
Iran and Syria will become a heavy infuence on whoever ends up controlling whats left of Iraq. It wouldnt be pretty.
BUT..........this is gonna happen regardless if we leave Iraq tomorrow or if we leave Iraq 5 years from now. I dont see how it can ever become a true stable democracy capable of standing on its own without American soldiers there to back it up. Not in our lifetime at least.

The Arabs will sort it out amongst themselves, which is really what should have happened all along. It can't get much worse than it already has been, with the US forces there.

Why should we care? The President of Iraq says we can go anytime we want.

if we pull out, the attention that terrorists put into fighting in their countries will be refocused back to our soil. I think pulling out now will be a huge mistake and we don't need another attack here, in US.

Yana: Don't you think throwing more bodies onto the heap OVER THERE doesn't make us more vulnerable OVER HERE?
