16. You don't NEED one until you start driving and get a job. Your classmates are spoiled little brats for having one at that age.

Well, I don't think 11 year olds should have a cell phone. I was at the store a few weeks ago and saw a seven year old with a cell phone that looks exactly like mine!! And I'm in my twenties.
I think it would be up to your parents to decide if you should have a cell phone, but you shouldn't always do what your friends do just because they're doing it. Be an individual. :)

I think 14-15 years old...I didn't get mine until I was 16 and I was fine without one before that

when you can get a job and pay for it yourself but unless your folks are cool and they'll pay for it like my mom does. Shes real cool.
