Ok, here goes. I am 40. I had my first experience with a girl when I was 12. I grew up got pregnant and got married, to a man. I can't stand for him to touch me. I have a what I think is a crush on a woman that I have been friends with for a few years. We had sex and it was great. I just wonder though, there's got to be more to a relationship than sex.

My thought, from what you said, is that you are a lesbian. I know numerous woman who have described their dilemmas before they came out to be the exact situation you are in right now.

You are not a sad woman - just a late bloomer and it is not unusual at all. Take action by becoming true to yourself now. Your best years are ahead of you.

You need to become "unmarried" to the man. Do not hurt him by sneaking around. Take the high road and be honest. Then you will be able to pursue an honest, meaningful relationship with a woman. No, it is not all about sex but the sex is fantastic!

Wishing you the best of luck.

I dont think you having sex with another woman one time makes you lesbian. I am lesbian. And a relationship is more than sex. You need connection, communication, sex... and all sort of other things. Do you feel anything for this woman besides the sex being great?

Why did you get married and pregnant, by the way?

Yes, there's more to a relationship than just sex - for those who DESIRE that. Relationships ARE what you MAKE them to be with your partner. There's no RIGHT or PERFECT way.

There are all kinds of relationships:
sexual only.
friends only.
sex & friendship but no love.
incredible loving marriages with great sex.
incredible loving but sexless marriages.
resentful marriages where both partners are too afraid to leave.
swingers.
marriages that work.
marriages that don't.
straight.
gay.
open.
cheaters that want to be free to be with another person (same sex perhaps?) and just be themselves finally.
cheaters that are too afraid of ridicule so they stick with the lie and suffer with the image that they chose to paint YEARS AGO.

What do YOU choose for YOU????????

FOLLOW YOUR HEART.
THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.

you would think so but there isn't. all people do in relationship is kill time in between sex. that is really the only reason two people become close is because of the possibility of sex. its always on one of the persons mind.

My how we complicate such simple things like relationships.

I feel very sorry for your husband and child who have been living a lie due to your confusion and dishonetsy for god knows how long.

There is more to a relationship besides the wonderful, intimate side of making love.
Good sex does draw one closer to their partner but are you attracted to women in general...exclusively?
You're 40 and a mother...by now, you should be aware of where your intimate attractions lay, don't you think.
Look in to your heart and answer your own question.
"Lesbian" is purely a title given to women that love women exclusively.

Your husband might be an *** which is why you don´t want him to touch you. Women are far more touchable and you discoverd that late in life. Try a few more guys and girls out there and see who floats your boat.

Having sex once is not a relationship. Its sad that you are as old as you are and still unsure of who you are. I would recommend you get into counseling.

theres a LOT more to a relationship than sex... like love, trust, respect, admiration... if you're married... and you cheated... you broke the "trust" already... no matter who it was with... It's time to tell your husband that theres something wrong in your marriage and come clean... and yes... i think you're gay...

I don't know if you are a lesbian or not, What I do know is that you are a cheater and you dishonour your family and husband by your behaviour.
