probably overrated to jealous/annoyed guys, who are sick of their gf/wife drooling over the him but to most women, he's a fine piece of meat lol I don't get tired of staring at him:) I can't choose between beckham or jude law though. I think it's the accent that's got me.
however, jack sparrow will always be #1 in my book.I ♥ pirates forever.

David beckham is over rated in total! hes moved to LA Galaxy for a combined total of over $128 000 000! thats just stupid! it shows how stupid some people can be (the LA galaxy manager) i think the manager was paying all that money just for the name not for the apparent talent that becks aparently has! (big deal hes got a good free kick) he has never once donated and kind of money to any charity! hes an absolute dumb, over rated, *****r

there is a lot more to a game of football than taking free kicks, so while he may do that well, hes not a even a 'very good footballer' because he lacks all round skill, IE did you ever see him win a tackle? etc etc
hes totally over rated, and whats worse is the hype seems to be generated by him (or to be fair, his publicists) .

Yes,he crosses well,he passes well, and he takes free kicks well. But it ends there .He's got no dribbling skills, scores very few goals,he's got no pace e.t.c. I even read once that there was a competition done to test footballer's technical skills in the past and he was soundly beaten by a little known Egyptian player.

he is not overrated.
i think he is going down now, that's different but in tthe late 90s, he was one of the best.
i heard many answerers say that he lacks certain skills and just being good does not cut it. in his prime he was the best at what he did.
i do think he is losing his touch.
angler if u saw his man utd. games, u would know how many passes did reach the target.
haha, england beat russia, u think they have the team now?
lolz, russia is not going to play in the euro 08 knockout stages. lets see the current 11 do well then.

Watch one of he's games.Count how many passes actually reach the target.Count how many free kicks he takes at goal'
The amount of bad passes far out do the good. The amount of
shots he's had at goal(while posing for sponsors)to what he's
scored. Is abysmal.Lets hope McClaren has the sense to leave him out for good.America's finding he is all hype.

Near the end of his Man U days he was an exceptional player. But he's been past his best for a long time.

the English always have to have somebody they can call a superstar, they have been guilty over the years of elevating
so-so players to cult status to feed their own egos Beckham is in this catagory he played for the in club Man Utd and was made to look good by the British Press who fed on his name to fill column inches. On the Pitch his talent was limited to free kicks and mostly wayward passes the players at United made him look good by their superior football skills.

I think he is far too overated, footballers get paid too much and the beckhams have more money than they can possibly spend. If he never made it into football he'd just be another bum on the street.
