It does seem that way, doesn't it?

In Iraq, nobody can "fix" what is now in shambles; everything needs to be reworked from the ground up.

Unfortunately, democracies only work where the people are willing and able to abide by its "rules"; terrorists and gun-toting gangs tend to "persuade" people to do otherwise or risk their lives. Furthermore, not all democratic models fit all situations. It will be a LONG time - - if ever - - before Iraq becomes anything resembling a democracy.

BTW, many so-called democracies are not; the US isn't a true democracy; neither is Great Britain. As one example, many gov't officials (in the case of the US, from the local levels straight up to the Fed, and right through into the White House, itself) are not elected BY the people (i.e., they are chosen by their superior(s)), and some do not answer TO the "people", so it's doubtful that they are even working FOR the people!

How can we expect the Iraqis to do any better than we are! Inform yourself on the candidates and know who and what you are voting for. That said, may God grant us the wisdom to keep Hillary OUT of office.

I'd argue that that bunch of clowns in D.C. are doing the best they can do for us when they are NOT passing legislation.
