I get them all the time. These women from Africa, (I think they are guys doing a scam) telling me they are looking for a man who is loving religious family oriented blah, blah.
I once saw the same picture with two separate emails and different names.
I usually ask them were they are from and as soon as they tell me Congo or some were like that I ask a few other question I think a women would now and they crash.

But i am sure there are real guys and gals out there, trying.

It's happened lots of times. The first one was years ago by letter ... An Algerian called Driss told me I was going to be his wife and he didn't take no for an answer. He sent me a book on how to be a good Muslim wife.

I ended up getting as offensive as I knew how (It made the Danish newspaper editors look like Islamophiles) and it wasn't until I asked a male friend to write that he backed off .... So much for a woman's efforts.

I would not be shocked, because it as happened to me twice.I have been asked out ,by two women.I simply ignored them after a little while. They ended up getting bored with me. Because i ignored them,Now they have disappeared without trace.Thank God for that., But i do email and chat with normal people as well, which is good.

I'd be more afraid than shocked. You may have a stalker. Save the email & any others, you may need them to file charges if it continues.
Be careful!

No. I would assume it was a joke. Like Richard asking me to marry him. He knows I am already married. It is just an innocent joke. Plus he lives half way around the world from me. If it really makes you uncomfortable, tell them you have someone and aren't interested.
