"Religion & Spirituality" section out of sheer frustration? I can't handle all the closed minded, hate filled people there. It's amazing that it brings out the worst in people.

anytime there is a discussion on religion or politics, it will inevitably end up in an argument. the problem is, that in a discussion of this sort, each persons point of view must be respected. also, everyone is hiding behind a computer screen, which gives them much more bravado. face to face discussions, with respect to each others beliefs, would be much more productive. you are correct. much better to leave it to BEAVER. my view.

You just got a star for this one. When I first joined Answers, I thought, "good, there is a religion site." Wrong. I will occasionally respond to one I believe is sincere, but I cannot go back and read the answers because I get so frustrated. I really think this site is a whole lot of 13-year-olds playing games that they will regret later in life.
Yes, I try to stay away now, It is amazing though, after I answer a senior citizen question, right below that is the Religion and Spirituality questions...weird.

Not only are the trolls taking over that site they are comong here to bash also.
For a while I thought well to each his own and at least they keep coming back to see what new questions are here. But it became more apparent alot of juveniles and just ugly people desiring to cause torment are hanging out there. I check it out occasionally but leave fairly quick.
Rather than close minded I think a lot the people just want to sew hate and discontent.

I haven't given up. Once in a while you can get a good question with good answers. But I agree, a lot of the questions are ignorant and disrespectful. I also believe a lot of juvenile trolls enjoy having fun in the name of God.

You have to catch a good time during the day. I've had some real good days on the forum with serious discussions, so I don't believe its hopeless.

I don't do the R&S because of this reason. I have learned through life "religion" and "politics" are things I rarely discuss. LOL Too many differcenses of opinion on these subjects and there is no changing anyone's mind. Not a discussion--it becomes an arguement.

Ironic most complaints are from R&S. But it is because evil tries to knock down those who are closest to a higher power (God, The Creator, Buddha etc.) First by corrupting minds of people, and having these people go out and cause hate and discontent among those who try to be holy and compassionate.

I couldn't believe it when I went to that section, so much anger. Though a lot of the questions are just asked to start a fuss, there are actually people who have ligitmate questions and will never get serious answers. It's to bad.

I visit that board from time to time, and try to get people to have an open mind and respect the beliefs of others. Challenging, but I do it anyway.

I would never go in there. It is a really touchy subject with people. Wars and killings have been carried out because of "love" of God.

Personally, I think they miss the point, I sincerely do not think that any Creator would want any people killed over the subject

Peace, love and happiness...............for all....amen

Of which are you speaking!
Those who have a strong faith don't answer the questions asked of them.
Those who don't believe won't answer the questions asked of them.
We get no where.
I haven't given up. I keep hoping for an insight on one side or another.
