It will depend on how and what you perceive as being accurate.

Almanacs in general will do just about as well as anyone trying to forecast the weather for a period that extends out more than a year in advance. Most of these forecasts (A forecast being nothing more than an opinion of future events.) are nothing more than a description of fluctuations within the range of "normal" values.

In the case of the farmers almanac, they will on occasion throw in a little detail that may or may not be accurate. These little details sometimes will be correct and the media loves it when it does.

Weather is very dynamic and is govened by many factors, these can change rapidly and as such it's only possible to predict the weather for a few days in advance.

Farmer's Almanacs, Old Moore's Almanacs and the like tend to take a historical average and then make forecasts based on that. It's not very accurate but it does give an indication as to the probable weather conditions.

I as quickly as study a rfile on the accuracy of the farmer's almanac, written by using a school pupil who majored in information and climatology. the tip grew to become into that the farmer's almanac is not extra precise than once you're making your individual wager.

Their predictions are more an average of recorded weather cycles than a flat prediction of which days are sunny and which days are wet.
