OOOOO...I feel your pain...but sometimes there are no easy answers...it's either this or that....yeah it makes sense to stay where you are until you can do better..but do your research...invest your time and look for the better position you want....you have stay where you are until you get what you want....trust me....I'm the most unlikely person to have 2 job offers but it's true....so be decisive and go for it...be smart..know your limitations....but go for it.....you don't wanna stay at a place where you're so unhappy.....BE BLESSED...BE ENCOURAGED...GO FOR IT

The only thing about staying home is will you still have insuruance? Make sure you have another job before you quit. Don't feel bad about whatever decision you make because its what is best for your child. I make just a little bit more than what you do. My husband is the stay at home dad. Every single day I wish that it were different. After my baby comes I know that I will be making even more money because of my work situation. I only live about 20 minutes from home and plan on doing a program to car pool. With gas going up I would suggest talking to the father and seeing what you could work out. If you find a job closer to home that sounds like a good solution but don't feel bad about it! Your co-workers will understand.

If it's really that bad, then immediately start looking for another job. Try to stay as long as you can possibly take it until you find a new job. Like others have said, it is easier to find a job when you have one. Also, the benefits under COBRA would stay with you for 90 days, but you'd have to pay more for them than you would being an employee; in other words, you would lose the group discount.

In many jobs the insurance will ride for a period of time when you quit under the COBRA act. It allows for a person to find another job without losing medical care. You might check to see if this pertains to your job.

Find yourself another job with benefits before quitting this one. It's easier to get a job if you have one. Also, your insurance won't lapse because of COBRA.

I've been there.

Look for another job that will be a better fit. In the meantime, keep the one you have since it sounds like you need it.

Good luck on your job search.
