I have a date tomorrow night. It's going to be 50 degrees, but I am NOT READY FOR SUMMER TO END!! I want to still wear shorts and high heels to show off my legs. So, I wanted to pair it with a light green sweater. But does that go against fashion rules??

The high heels I'm wearing are sandals with a heel.
I'm confused why it's ok to wear a short skirt, but not shorts???

yes, it will be 50 degrees, but we aren't having a picnic!!! I will only be outside from car to restaurant, or where ever he takes me. duh...

You CAN wear the shorts with a sweater. I don't know what everyone else is talking about. Maybe the problem is the shoes. Don't wear sandals and shorts, then you'll really be freezing. Why not wear midcalf to knee length boots and shorts and your sweater. Then you'll still be showing off your legs and they won't be as freezing.

It totally goes against fashion rules, especially since you are going to wear heels. You could sub the shorts for a cute mini skirt and that would work.

dont wear short shorts try the shorts that go down to right above the knee. and no im not talking about the guy looking ones. the denim ones that are tight look really hot with heels or platforms. you dont wanna freeze your butt off .. have fun on your date

i think its too cold for shorts..why not wear a skirt

fashion faux pas! if you absolutely have to wear shorts, but want to bring something to stay warm, go with a pretty shawl, or wear a tank top with a knitted shrug. If it's the sweater you can't live without, then go with a skirt

How bout' a kilt ???? Nice tartan to match your jumper. Most boys go mad for this look...But light green eh? ...hmmm..would have to have some of that same colour in the skirt . Best O' luck to you on your night out...

Try a mock turtle neck! or a cute cardigan over a tank. Also try a white mini skirt instead of shorts.!

it's the look, and it's here for two seasons already. Get woolen shorts, plaid or something, and wear with sweaters and jackets. It has been in for years. Why, people wear them with winter coats.
